LadakhThe Perseids are one of the brightest meteor showers of the year. Perseid meteor are usually visible from mid-July to late August. The peak will be noticed on 12 August 2024. These meteors are very colourful and leave beautiful rain like pattern.
Over this period, there will be a chance of seeing Perseid meteors whenever the shower’s radiant point – in the constellation Perseus – is above the horizon, with the number of visible meteors increasing the higher the radiant point is in the sky.
Radiant: The radiant will rise in the middle of the night and will be maximum at dawn.
Occurrence: These perseids are related to comet Swift-Tuttle. You can expect 60+ meteors per hour. If you can take out time keep an eye for celestial events. It is related to the constellation Perseus.
