Orionid Meteor Shower – 21 Oct 2025
The Orionid meteor shower will be active from 2 October to 7 November, with its peak around 21 October. During this time, meteors can be seen whenever the shower’s radiant point – in the constellation Orion – is above the horizon, with more meteors visible the higher it is in the sky.
From New Delhi, the shower will be visible after 10:03 PM, when the radiant rises above the eastern horizon, and remain active until dawn at 5:59 AM.
At its peak, you can expect to see about 15 meteors per hour. The Orionid shower is created by debris from comet 1P/Halley.
